E-Learning Platform, Chuuse and 9 Others Selected as Winners of Enygma Ventures $1M Shift Fund

Chuuse, a Nigerian E-learning platform has been selected to benefit from Enygma ventures $1 million Shift fund. The startup joins nine others that were awarded full scholarships to the StartupCircles Launch Program.

The Shift Fund which was launched by VC firm, Enygma Ventures is targetted at supporting African startups, entrepreneurs and innovators that are building solutions for the post-pandemic world.

The VC through a partnership with Startup Circles is planning to use the fund to provide seed capital for 20–40 startups. It also aims to provide mentoring, training and business validation scholarships through Startup Circles.

Application for the fund under the Redefining our Future Idea Stage drew about 300 applications from across the continent. After the competitive evaluation process, Chuuse was shortlisted among the top 10 applications.

The startup will get a 100% scholarship to the StartupCircles Launch program valued at N159,621 (R7, 200). The launch program will kick-off on the 4th June 2020.

The Chuuse E-learning Platform

Chuuse.org is an E-learning platform that helps students, workers and professionals to learn and get certified in real-time by partnering with schools and learning centres.

Founded by Daniel Olowokere, Chuuse partners with vocational training centres to help them digitalise their learning contents and sell them to learners for a fee.

With the new scholarship prize which will enable it to attend the StartupCircles Launch Program, Chuuse will gain guidance, tools and support that it needs.

The startup will also receive resource to validate its target consumers and work on its business model. At the end of the launch program, the startup will have the opportunity to pitch its business to a panel of investors.

The Scholarship also gives the company a year’s worth of community membership to StartupCircles, where it will have access to like-minded people, events and masterclasses.

With the new support and help of the Shift Fund, Chuuse can better work towards its mission of making learning easy for people.
